Mind Map/ synopsis generating individual IDEA to pitch to group

(this must be your own original response)

My individual idea

My individual idea is to advertise football boots. The values of the boots are that they are fast, light and they help you increase your overall speed, these boots enhance your performance and it will have you as a player.  They are aimed at people from the ages of 14 to 35 who like sport and in particular boots. The advert is particularly aimed at men which is a stereotype however men play football.  The boots will be very colourful and will look unique persuading people to buy them. The slogan of my football boots are "play fast play hard" which is a very powerful and persuasive slogan. In my advert i will use characters to advertise my boots as they will wear these unique boots and show how quick they really are.

My second individual idea is to advertise an all-in-one body wash called head, shoulders, knees and toes. What defines the product is that, the all-in-one wash includes a formula that can wash the whole body including the hair. The product is aimed at an audience of men, from the age range of 13 to 30. The body wash includes a hint of Hugo Boss Bottled, a very popular fragrance among men. The packaging of the product will be very unique and masculine, it will include the initials of the product, and an image of tiger-eyes and a tigers scratch marks. The product will stand out above the rest persuading the target audience to buy it. The advert will include a jingle; the music is called ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’. The lines of appeal of the advert are that it uses comedy and humour to promote and raise awareness of the product.

Treatment – a pitch to the client

(SELL YOUR IDEA _ quick synopsis of narrative, lines of appeal and persuasive techniques used; target audience; time slot; channel)

Our product is called head shoulders knees and toes (HSKT). The product itself is an all-in-one body wash called head, shoulders, knees and toes. It has an all-in-one formula that enables the hair and body to be washed. The product is aimed at an audience of men, from the age range of 18 to 30. The body wash will have a popular fragrance which is Hugo Boss, this will be the fragrance for our product as it is very popular among men and it is appropriate for our target audience.

The packaging of the product will be very unique and it will appeal to men. The packaging will include an image of tiger eyes, the initials of the product name and it will have an image of tiger scratch marks. The colour of the bottle of our product is black as this is a very popular colour among men and by using it we think it will persuade men to buy our product. The product packaging will enable it to stand out above the rest persuading the target audience to buy it when they see it.

The advert will include a jingle; the music is called ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’. The lines of appeal of the advert are that it uses comedy and humour to promote and raise awareness of the product. The style of the advert will be surreal and dramatic as the product will show the audience what type of effect it will have on the character. The character in the advert will be a very masculine looking male, a male other men could look up to and want to be like.

The product focuses on self-perception and pride as the product shows by using it will bring out the masculinity within you and it will make you a man by using it. The persuasive techniques that are going to be used in the product are grabbing the user’s attention, jingle, slogan and repetition of the products name. The jingle used in our advert is the song ‘head, shoulders, knees and toes’; the audience will be able to recognize the song. Our advert will constantly repeat the name of product, this is too make the product name stay in the viewer’s mind therefore when they go to a supermarket they will remember our advert due to the repetition of product name and will choose to buy our product. The slogan of our advert is "release the beast within".

The price of our product is £2.50, this is because we feel that it is a reasonable and an affordable price as our competitions body wash and hair products are more costly therefore by keeping the price slightly low for our product it will give us an advantage and an edge when it hits the shelf's at supermarkets all across the UK. Our advert will appear on all channels day and night.
