The commercial uses synergy as heineken wanted to be associated with the new James Bond film skyfall and it uses skyfall to advertise its beer and the film simultaneosly. Also it portrays a message that James Bond drinks heineken therefore so should you. The purpose of TV advertising is to promote and raise awareness of a product as TV advertising is the best form of advertising as it allows an organisation to reach a much larger audience to promote its product. The purpose of TV advertising is to inform the consumer about new products which have been released by an organisation to then persuade the consumer to then go out and buy the product when its released.
Another purpose of TV advertising is too promote and raise awareness of a business or a campaign and another is to promote and sell products to persuade the consumer to buy their company's products. Another purpose of TV advertising is to increase income for the company as a TV advert would be watched by a wider audience which would generate extra income for the company and increase sales due to the TV advert.
The impacts of TV advertising are that in can persuade the consumer to go and buy your product also it can raise awareness for your brand making the consumer aware of it. ASA
The advertising standards authority are advertising regulators which regulate and review adverts across all types of media. They make sure that adverts are not misleading and offensive and if they are misleading and offensive then the ASA take action against the companies which deploy adverts. they judge adverts which breech the UK advertising codes and if they do breech these codes then they take action and remove adverts. An example of an advert that has been removed by the ASA is the virgin media advert which broke the following UK advertising codes AP Code (Edition 12) rules 3.1 (Misleading advertising), 3.7 (Substantiation), 3.11 (Exaggeration) and 3.33 (Comparisons). The ASA removed the advert from breeching these codes and told Virgin media that the advert must not appear ever again in its current form and it must not appear in Virgin media adverts ever again unless they have proof of what they are stating is true.
OFCOM
Ofcom is a communications regulator which regulates all types of advertising i.e, TV, radio and internet. Ofcom benefits the consumer as it protects them from harmful and misleading adverts. it regulates the adverts to make sure the consumer is protected.
Audience information
Audience measurement is when the audience is measured in terms of amount as it shows the amount of people that are in the audience. Audience measurement enables the broadcasters to see who is watching

Barb shows the regional and national levels it basically gathers the viewing figures in the uk. The information. Shows how an advertisement or a campaign has been performing it shows how well there advertisements or campaigns are doing. The way barb collect there data is that they put a box on top of people's TV sets and then see what they are watching. This shows how well the advertisement or campaign is doing the results are collated and gathered and shown the following day

A rate card is a document that has prices and descriptions. A rate card is provided by newspapers which rate how good the advertising is of a certain organisation.
Audience information pack is a pack which has all the information that is needed to make your own advertising campaign it includes rate cards within the pack along with other elements within the pack

Audience classification separates people from there occupational background the companies use this to identify the audience that they are targeting as there target audience
